THE 12-year-old surfer from Newcastle, NSW, who went viral last year has revealed she’s in the hospital undergoing tests for a possible brain abnormality.
Sabre Norris was reportedly the second youngest surfer to ever compete in a World Surf League, and her skills landed her headline-making appearances on The Ellen DeGeneres Show and The Today Show.
She’s become a social media star, but now she’s opened up with her 115,000 followers about some health problems she’s been facing.
Doctors found pressure on her brain and she’s undergoing a series of tests.
Her followers left hundreds of commenters offering their good wishes.
“That sucks, need to keep growing so you can charge even harder than you already do. Hope all goes well!” one commenter wrote.
“Sending a lot of prayers & positivity your way. Keep that positive & infectious attitude of yours & you’re sure to come out on top,” another wrote.
Sabre has previously said that her long-term goal is to be in the field when surfing is added to the program at the 2020 Tokyo Olympics.
